With things opening up again, the South Shore Quilters Guild is hosting their quilt expo this weekend, Friday June 3rd from 10am to 5pm and Saturday June 4th from 10am to 4pm at St Paul Anglican Church, 321 rue Empire in Greenfield Park! Price Increase for Aurifil Threads

As you know, the cost of just about everything is on the rise these days. The cost of Aurifil has risen for a second time since the beginning of the pandemic. You did not notice the last increase because I let it slide, however the time has come to adjust the Aurifil pricing. The spools and kits that are currently in stock will stay at the current prices ($15.50 for the large spools and $59.95 for the cones) for the month of May. Machine embroidery is awesome!

So I spent the whole day getting to know my machine. It was a love hate relationship, and nothing seemed to go right at first. I first chose my pattern from Urban Threads. I love their stuff! I chose an 8 color cherry blossom tree. I got all set up. I ironed on my stabilizer, and chose my thread.   It went pretty badly from there. Thread kept breaking, the white thread from the bobbing underneath started coming through, my bobbing ran out of thread. It kept going. There's a pile threads on my craft desk that look like some...

Counting Embroidery Floss

We are carrying the full line of the solid DMC. We got our inventory from Emeline & Annabelle's close out sale. We are sorting through and taking inventory to make sure we know how many of each thread we have. It is a big project with 454 solid colours! Here is a picture of about 25% of the stock!
