Pandas in Sweaters Quilt Pattern - Elizabeth Hartman
What’s cuter than a panda? A panda wearing a sweater! Make these adorable patchwork friends using conventional piecing techniques. No templates or paper piecing!
The pandas in the sample are made using Robert Kaufman’s Kona Solids and Essex Yarn-Dyed linen blends, as listed on the pattern back. To make pandas that look like hers, select an almost-black fabric like Essex Yarn-Dyed Charcoal for the Dark Solid Panda Fabric (the dark part of the panda bodies) and a true black fabric like Kona Black for the Black Solid Detail Fabric (eyes and noses). Having the eyes and noses be the darkest part of the composition will make your pandas look more “realistic”.
Elizabeth's pandas’ sweaters were made using fat quarters of her Kitchen Window Wovens.
Three sizes included!
Pillow 24" x 24", Small quilt 46" x 50" with 4 pandas and Large quilt 66" x 72" with 9 pandas.
