This pattern she drafted for a class she gave at the Maine Fiber College a few years ago. The tail is done with batik fabric and her hair is hand spun yarn. She has mother of pearl shoulder joints and is embellished with a variety seed beads. You can work up this pattern with materials from your stash.

Some of the specialty item you might need: Doll needles, White Gelly Pen, and Black Pigma Pen.

If your stash is not plentiful enough, there some material kits available for this pattern. The kit contains the fabric (muslin and batik), yarn and beads to compliment the batik fabric in the kit as well as the mother of pearl buttons for the shoulder joints.

Complete supply list:
• Yarn for Hair - 2 oz. (50 g.) skein of fingering weight or sock yarn in merino wool, silk, angora , tencel or soy silk. Handspuns work well for this doll.
