The pages are perforated and suitable for colored pencils, crayons, markers or gel pens. Julie did some testing on the paper that she ended up choosing for the coloring book. It's thick and the designs are printed on one side. The only pen that isn't recommended is a Sharpie. It's the only one that you can see from the other side. The book is designed with perforated pages. This way you can remove one for more detailed coloring or to frame & save.
